Raza Sinanaj

Raza Sinanaj is an Albanian-American educator with deep roots in Westchester and the Bronx. She dedicated thirty-one years to the NYC Department of Education, serving as a paraprofessional, teacher, and later as an English Language Arts liaison, providing instructional support to educators citywide. In 2023, after many years of dedicated service, Raza transitioned to a new role as a Union Representative for the Council of School Supervisors & Administrators. Beyond her professional achievements, Raza is a proud mother of three daughters and a son, each of whom has pursued distinguished careers—a CFO of a company, a Special Education Teacher in the NYC DOE, a business owner, and an NYPD officer serving the Bronx community where Raza grew up. Her family has grown to include eight grandchildren, a legacy that fulfills the dreams of this Albanian-born immigrant.
