Vice President

Nora Rugova is a proud first-generation Albanian-American, born and raised in New York, and now calling Westchester County home. She has been an integral part of the White Plains City School District for over a decade, serving as a dedicated leader and special education teacher. Nora's passion for education extends beyond the classroom, as she brings her commitment and expertise to every aspect of her work. A former student-athlete at Pace University, Nora spent five years as an assistant coach for the women's volleyball team, combining her love for the sport with her dedication to mentoring young athletes. Outside of her professional life, Nora is an enthusiastic supporter of the New York Rangers and enjoys attending their games as well as live music concerts. Her love for these experiences is enriched by sharing them with her close-knit circle of family and friends. As a board member and Vice President of the Albanian American Club of Westchester (AAWC), Nora is passionate about fostering community connections and strengthening ties through education. She looks forward to collaborating with the education committee and the entire AAWC to create meaningful relationships and opportunities that benefit the community.
